DiorSkin Nude Air Serum SPF20 foundation Review

Good day my loves

I am sorry it has been so long since my last post. But, as you know my hands don't get encouraged to write unless it is something really worth it.

Today's post is about the DiorSkin Nude Air Serum SPF20 foundation.

Dior defines this foundation to be "A lightweight foundation serum that creates an enhanced complexion with a sheer finish". YES and YES.

This foundation is very light weight, is very liquid and has a very similar texture to water. It definitely enhances your complexion as I will explain further below, and it does have a sheer finish ( please pay attention sheer FINISH not Coverage).

Texture, finish and coverage

Dior also mentions that it is:

Weightless, ultra-fluid foundation serum that creates a nude makeup look

I have to agree, it is very weightless possibly one of the tops reasons why I love this foundation, it is very comfortable to wear for everyday use. The finish is sheer meaning that it looks very flawless on the skin and not cakey at all. .

Formulated with SPF 25, it offers sun protection

Great bonus; I love that it includes sun protection. However, due to our extreme hot weather and strong sun rays I would recommend using a separate sunblock or protection underneath.

Natural-looking glow

I agree with the natural looking part, as it does perfect your complexion while looking very natural but am not sure about the glow. I find it to have a very nice satin finish.

Infused with Oxygen Active technology, an innovative blend of a hyper-oxygenated oil, cranberry oil, vitamin, and minerals, that  deposits an undetectable film of makeup onto the skin

The great innovation behind this foundation, the unique technology is what makes this foundation very light weight allowing your skin to breathe while giving you a flawless natural finish.

Soft focus-agents and glazed pigments instantly produce an even-looking complexion

YESSSS! here is the second top reason why I love this foundation. Remember when I mentioned its light weight? now imagine that plus a medium build-able to full coverage??? Oh my God.

So there are many foundation that offer medium to full coverage! but this light weight? I have never came across a foundation like this not even the Makeupforever or Mac face and body foundation which are supposed to be light weight build-able foundations.

What makes me happy is that now I have a foundation that is perfect to use daily and is perfect for troubled skin like mine. I have acne scars, dark spots, slight pigmentation and sometimes redness and with one layer of this foundation I can see a huge difference and a much better looking complexion. The first layer evens out my skin, but I do need to use another layer to cover the scars a bit more. But let me tell you it is very build-able if two is not enough dab a bit of the foundation on the areas you would like to cover until its covered.

Please keep in mind when I say it has coverage it is not heavy on the skin at all. Like mentioned above this foundation has soft focus agents and glazed pigments that make it very pigmented. That is why even though it is very fluid it has the ability to cover and give you a much better looking skin.

Packaging

Love the packaging. Sleek, elegant and easy to use. It comes in a see through glass packaging, and the pump is the same as any serum, you get to squeeze the foundation out.

How I apply it:

I think it is an easy foundation to work with, I apply it either using my fingers or Sigma F80 brush. Your fingers give you more coverage and you dont waste any product. However, I find that even with the brush it works great.

Staying Power

I use an oil controlling primer underneath this foundation and it lasts around 5 hours on my face, by the 6th hour I can see it starting to fade. Personally I don't really wear makeup longer than this so I don't have a problem with that. However, I am sure if you set it with powder and use a setting spray it would last longer.
I have an oily T-zone and I think that if you do not use an oil-control primer you will get oily, so if you have oily skin you should use a primer. I can imagine this foundation looking beautiful on dry and mature skin as well due to its lightweight and fluid texture.

Colour Range

They don't  have a big range of shades ( 8 shades) but they do have colours from light to dark ( not for very dark skin tones though). It might be tricky for some skin tones. Personally I tried number 30 and 40. 30 was my colour but paler and 40 is my colour but a bit tanner so I ended up taking 40 as it looks better one me and blends in more with my skin colour. I think the perfect shade would be between 30 and 40 but unfortunately they do not have an in between colour. So Dior we need more shades.

Price

The price is definitely a high-end foundation price ( quite expensive). It retails at $53 in the US and varies a bit in other countries. I got mine from Doha for around BD22. It is available in Bahrain in Sephora.

All in all, if you do not like wearing foundation but need the coverage or you want your complexion to look better but natural this foundation is for you. I think its perfect for everyday use and is worth a try.

I hope this blog post was informative in any way.

Stay blessed.

The Makeup Eraser Review

Hello my lovelies. I'm sorry it has been a long time since I posted a blog post, I have been very busy lately.

Anyway, I wanted to review this amazing product which I finally got the chance to purchase. It is called the Makeup Eraser.

So, lets go ahead and review this product.

Packaging

As you all know packaging matters a lot to me and this product nailed it. How cute is this packaging? It is kept in a cute eraser shaped pink box, totally loved it.

It also came with a cute thank you note, and a how-to instructions to teach you the proper way of using it.

Product Claims

This product claims to:

1) Remove your makeup with just water

YES, just water, warm water.

2) Remove waterproof mascara in seconds

It does remove mascara, you just have to use the towel in the same motion that you would use with the makeup wipe or cotton. However, I still feel like I need to use one cotton soaked in a Bioderma to totally remove all mascara remains. I must say I do not own any waterptoof mascara so I did not get to test this claim.

3) All natural no chemicals

Yup. Obviously since it is a towel and not a chemical product.

4) Machine washable with no stains remain

YUP. It does wash completely clean with no stains whatsoever.

5) Soft and promotes healthy skin

I imagine this would be true since you stop using makeup wipes, makeup removers which usually make my face red ( sensitive skin). I will let you all know if this is true after I use it in a couple of weeks.

The Makeup Eraser

The makeup eraser is a cute, adorable pink towel that has two sides. One side ( which has the tag) is used to wash makeup off, the second side is supposed be to used to exfoliate the face after washing your makeup off.

The texture of the towel is really soft and gentle on the face. Its quite long so you are able to use it a few times before washing the towel.

How it works

It is very simple and easy to use, all you have to do is wet a part of the towel with warm water and rub it on your face to remove your makeup, which it does beautifully. However, I must admit I see no use in the exfoliating side, I still don't that it actually exfoliates.

Advantages

Isn't it obvious? it made my life SO MUCH easier, I don't have to go through the dreadful process of using tons of cotton pads and repeatedly buying makeup removers. I literally remove full makeup in 2 minutes. This will also save me a lot of money, as you all know I use Bioderma and it is quite expensive (around BD8). You also save money due to not buying as many cotton pads. The fact that you will need to use a much lower quantity of cotton pads also means you are helping the environment by using less cotton resulting in less waste.
Another advantage is that it is really easy to wash; thank to "themodestbelle" for the suggestion that it can be treated like your makeup brushes. At first I was a bit concerned about the need to machine wash it daily but she enlightened me that we can just wash it with shampoo and leave it to dry for next day use. And boom that totally works! all I do is put a bit of soap and wash all the makeup off, leave it to dry and use it the next day.

Disadvantages

I don't really think of this an advantage but I must point out it removes 90% of my makeup, well to the apparent eyes your face looks clean but I just use one cotton pad with Bioderma to remove very little remians of foundation that the makeup eraser did not remove, and another cotton pad just to make sure all the mascara and eyeliner are gone. Regardless of this I think it is still worth it.

Is it worth it?

YES, YES, yes. Totally is. I honestly think it just makes your life easier, and your makeup removal much simpler and quicker. I used to actually use a towel that I got from redtag to remove my makeup which worked perfectly fine. The only issue I had is that it was quite difficult to remove all the makeup stains, this is why I just opted for the makeup eraser. However, if you girls wanted to see the towel I used to use just leave a comment below.

I purchased my makeup eraser from maskline_bh for BD8. You can also order this from themakeuperaser.com

I hope this review was helpful in any way.

Lots of love,

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow Swatches and first Impression

Good day my lovely readers,

I'm super excited about this post. I can't wait for you girls to see the swatches and pictures x.

I ordered these super shock shadows directly from their website www.colourpop.com using shop and ship Aramex since they do not ship directly to Bahrain.
These shadows and all their products ( except for blushes) retail at $5 each. This is super amazing considering the innovation, unique formula, design and packaging of these incredible shadows. In case you are wondering it took around two weeks to get delivered.

I always mention packaging is so important to me and oh boy they nailed it. From the outside it looked like the standard shipping box I always receive but when I opened it this beautiful violet design with their logo was facing me.

PACKAGING:

I also received this cute personalized card and another card that introduces the super shock shadows, explains what it is, how to use it and tips and tricks.

Below are some pictures of the packaging, how cute? It sort of reminded me of Tiffany & co. The eye shadows come in an adorable sleek white pots with a clear plastic head with their logo written in a silver-mirror like colour.

SWATCHES:

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS COLOUR IS? yes please. So Quiche is a beautiful duo-chrome metallic bronze shade. They describe it to be "A soft olive with a highly reflective gold and pink violet glittery duo chrome metallic finish".

Drift, a beautiful dark cranberry shade in a pearlized finish <3.

Tink is another beautiful unique shade! its a charcol dark grey but it feels like it is mixed with dark olive colour  as well ( Second swatch).

Bandit is a beautiful rusty warm brown matte shade ( Seocnd swatch below).

YUUM!! when I see this shade I think of BROWNIES! Mittens is described to be a "A deep warm brown with a red violet undertone leaving a matte finish". ( First swatch below).

Do-A-Deer is a unique deep dark blackend purple (oh my oh my)! I love this shade so beautiful for a smokey eye.

I gotta a feeling Girl Crush is gonna be one of my faves! A beautiful cool tone true grey.

Finally, Hustle is a beautiful dark burgundy shade. It is the last swatch on the below picture.

This picture shows swatches of So Quiche, Drift, Tink, Doo-A-Deer, Girl crush and Hustle in order.

I am yet to try these on the eyes. I posted this quick blog post with swatches due to how excited I was to finally own them. While swatching, the colours were so pigmented, so buttery and smooth, and they set on my wrists like a how cream eyeshadow does and it did not move or budge for hours until I used a makeup remover. Once I try them a couple of times on the eyes I will share another detailed review on them inshAllah.

I really hope you enjoy the post and find it beneficial in any way. What do you girls think of the colours? Which ones are your favourite? please share below.

Lots of love,
